Final Month of Sailing

The steel gray-blue sky and cooler breezes can only mean one thing; we are in our last month of sailing! Hard to believe that almost another sailing season has passed by. However, the good news is that fall offers up some of the best sailing. The cooler weather is a nice change of pace from the stifling heat, and the breeze is usually good.

Also fall is the BEST time for night sailing; because it gets dark sooner, you can have a 90 minutes of twilight sailing and still get off the water by 10PM. For more information, see this post on the subject from last year HERE

Also, its is a good time to check you mooring lines. The long season and recent winds may have weakened them. No fun to find you boat mentioned in a alert email!
